ಸಾವಿತ್ರಿಬಾಯಿ ಫುಲೆ- ಭಾರತದ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮಾಜ ಸುಧಾರಕಿ “ಅಂಧಕಾರದ ಯುಗಕ್ಕೆ ಬೆಳಕಾಗಿದ ಮಹಿಳೆ!” 🌟📚 ಒಬ್ಬ ಮಹಿಳೆ ತನ್ನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅಪಮಾನ ಸಹಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರೂ, ತಡೆಯದೆ ಮುಂದೆ ನಡೆಯಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದರು. ಯಾರೂ ಕಲಿಯದ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಡುಗಿಯರಿಗೆ ಶಾಲೆ ತೆರೆದ ಮೊದಲ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿ! ಅವರು ಯಾರು? ಏಕೆ ಸಮಾಜ ಅವರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಹೋರಾಟ ಮಾಡಿತು? ಅವರ ತ್ಯಾಗ ಮತ್ತು ಪರಿಶ್ರಮದ ಈ ಸತ್ಯ ಕಥೆಯನ್ನು ಓದಿ, ಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿ ಪಡೆಯಿರಿ! ಪರಿಚಯ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಸುಧಾರಣೆಯ ದೀಪವಾಗಿರುವ ಸಾವಿತ್ರಿಬಾಯಿ ಫುಲೆ ಜನಿಸಿದರು 1831ರ ಜನವರಿ 3ರಂದು, ಮಹಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ನೈಗಾಂವ್ ಎಂಬ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ. 19ನೇ ಶತಮಾನವು ಅಂಧಕಾರಪೂರ್ಣ, ಜಾತಿ ಭೇದ, ಅಸಮಾನತೆ, ಮತ್ತು ಮಹಿಳಾ ಶೋಷಣೆಯ ಯುಗವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ, ಮಹಿಳೆಯರಿಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಕೊಡಿಸುವ ಕಲ್ಪನೆಯೇ ಪಾಪ ಎಂದು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ, ಸಾವಿತ್ರಿಬಾಯಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಪತಿ ಮಹಾತ್ಮ ಜ್ಯೋತಿರಾವ್ ಫುಲೆ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಜ್ವಾಲೆಯನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದರು. ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮತ್ತು ಹೋರಾಟದ ಆರಂಭ ಸಾವಿತ್ರಿಬಾಯಿಗೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾಗದ ಕಾರಣ, ಅವರು ಸಮಾಜದ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೇ ತಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾಗಿ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರ ಪತಿ ಜ್ಯೋತಿರಾವ್ ಅವರು ಸ್ವತಃ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾಗಲೇ, ತಾವು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಪಡೆದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು ಕೂಡ ಕಲಿಯಬೇಕು ಎಂಬ ಗಾಢ ನಂಬಿಕೆಗೆ ಬಂದರು. ಪತಿಯ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆಯಿಂದ, ಸಾವಿತ್ರಿಬಾಯಿ ಸ್ವತಃ ಓದಿ ಕಲಿತು, ಮಹಿಳೆಯರಿಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀಡಲು ಬಲಪಡಿಸಿದರು. 1848ರಲ್ಲಿ, ಪುಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ‘ಭಾರತದ ಮೊದಲು ಬಾಲಕಿಯರ ಶಾಲೆಯನ್ನು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿ’, ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸ ಯುಗದ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದರು. ಆದರೆ, ಇದು ಸುಲಭವಾದ ಹಾದಿಯಲ್ಲ. ಜನರು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಲ್ಲು ಹೊಡೆದು, ಅವಮಾನಿಸಿದರು. ಆದರೆ, ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರ ನಿರಾಕರಣೆಗೆ ಸಮರ್ಥ ಪ್ರತಿಯಾಗಿ, ಅವರು ‘ನಾವು ಬೆಳಕು ಹೊತ್ತವರಾಗಿ, ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರ ಬದುಕಿಗೂ ಬೆಳಕು ನೀಡೋಣ’ ಎಂಬ ಧ್ಯೇಯವನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿದರು. ಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿದಾಯಕ ಘಟನೆ: ಅವಮಾನವನ್ನು ಸಾದನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿವರ್ತಿಸಿದ ಕ್ಷಣ! “ಒಂದು ದಿನ, ಸಾವಿತ್ರಿಬಾಯಿ ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ, ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವು ಪುರುಷರು ಮತ್ತು ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು ಆಕ್ರೋಶದಿಂದ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದರು.” “ಏ ಮಗಳೇ! ಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿಯಾಗಿರೋವನು… ನಿನ್ನ ಧರ್ಮ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟವಾಗಿದೆ!” ಎಂದು ಗೂಡುಬಂದ ತೊಟ್ಟುಬಂಟರು ಅವಳನ್ನು ಬೈಯಲು ಶುರು ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಕೇವಲ ಬೈಯುವಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲ, ಅವರು ಸಾವಿತ್ರಿಬಾಯಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೊಳಕು ನೀರು ಮತ್ತು ಕೆಸರು ಸುರಿಯಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದರು! ಇದು ಪ್ರತಿದಿನದ ಕಥೆಯೇ ಆಗಿತ್ತು.ಆದರೆ, ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಅವರು ತಾಳ್ಮೆ ತಪ್ಪದೆ, ಅವಮಾನವನ್ನು ಶಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ಬಳಸಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದರು. ಅದು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಎದ್ದು ಹೊರಡುವ ಸಮಯ. ಸಾವಿತ್ರಿಬಾಯಿ ಅವರ ಪತಿ ಜ್ಯೋತಿರಾವ್ ಫುಲೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದರು – “ನಾನು ಹೆದರಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ನಗುತ್ತಾ ಹೋಗಬೇಕು!” ಅಂದು, ಸಾವಿತ್ರಿಬಾಯಿ ಹೊಸ ಚೌಕಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊರಟರು. ಅವರು ಎರಡು ಸೀರೆಗಳ ಹೊಸ್ತಿಲು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು. ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಅವರು ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ಹೋಗುವಾಗಜನರು ಮಣ್ಣಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತೂರಿದರೂ, ಅವರು ತಲೆ ತಗ್ಗಿಸದೆ ಮುಂದೆ ಸಾಗಿದರು. ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ತಲುಪಿದ ಮೇಲೆ, ಅವರು ಮಣ್ಣಿನಿಂದ ಮಸಕಾದ ಸೀರೆ ಬದಲಿಸಿ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ತೊಡಿದರು. ಅವರು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀಡಲು ಬಂದವಳಾಗಿದ್ದಳು, ಮಣ್ಣಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮುರಿದು ಬೀಳಲು ಅಲ್ಲ! ಇದು ಕೇವಲ ಒಂದು ದಿನದ ಕಥೆ ಅಲ್ಲ, ಐವತ್ತು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹೋರಾಟದ ಒಂದು ಕ್ಷಣ ಮಾತ್ರ! ಸಮಾಜಿಕ ಸುಧಾರಣೆಯ ಹಾದಿ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲ, ಸಾವಿತ್ರಿಬಾಯಿ ಫುಲೆ ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ತಾನೊಬ್ಬ ಮಹಿಳೆ ಎಂಬ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೆ, ಅವರ ಹೋರಾಟ ಜಾತ್ಯತೀತ ಸಮಾನತೆ, ವಿಧವೆಯರ ಪುನರ್ವಿವಾಹ, ಕೂಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳು, ಮತ್ತು ಅಸಹಾಯ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ಆಶ್ರಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಿತು. 1852ರಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು “ಮಹಿಳಾ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳ ಪೋಷಕಿ” ಎಂಬ ಗೌರವ ಪಡೆದರು. 1897ರಲ್ಲಿ, ಪ್ಲೇಗ್ ರೋಗ ಹರಡಿದಾಗ, ಸಾವಿತ್ರಿಬಾಯಿ ಸ್ವತಃ ರೋಗಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಲು ತಮ್ಮ ಜೀವವನ್ನೇ ಮುಡಿಪಾಗಿಟ್ಟರು. ತಾವು ರೋಗಿಗಳ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ, ತಾವು ತಾವೇ ಆ ರೋಗಕ್ಕೆ ಬಲಿಯಾದರು. ಆದರೆ, ಅವರ ಸೇವಾ ಪರಂಪರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದ ಚರಿತ್ರೆಯ ಒಂದು ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ಅಧ್ಯಾಯವಾಗಿ ಉಳಿಯಿತು. ಸಾವಿತ್ರಿಬಾಯಿ ಫುಲೆ ಈ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಗೆ ನೀಡುವ ಸಂದೇಶ ನಾನು ಸಾವಿತ್ರಿಬಾಯಿ ಫುಲೆ! ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕೆ ಬೆಳಕು ತಂದು, ಅಜ್ಞಾನ ಎಂಬ ಅಂಧಕಾರವನ್ನು ಹೋಗಲಾಡಿಸಲು ಹೋರಾಡಿದೆ. ಇಂದು, ನನ್ನ ಕನಸು ನಿಜವಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ನೋಡಲು ನನಗೆ ಅಪಾರ ಸಂತೋಷ! ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದಿರುವ ಯುಗ, ಅವಕಾಶಗಳ ಯುಗ! ನೀವು ಕಲಿಯಲು, ಬೆಳೆಯಲು, ಹೊಸ ಗುರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಲು ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಎದುರಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪುಸ್ತಕವಿದೆ, ಜ್ಞಾನವಿದೆ, ಮೊಬೈಲ್ ಇದೆ – ಈ ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಭವಿಷ್ಯ ರೂಪಿಸುವ ಶಸ್ತ್ರಾಸ್ತ್ರಗಳು! ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಬಳಸಿದರೆ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಾಧನೆ ಇಡೀ ಜಗತ್ತಿಗೆ ಮಾದರಿಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ! ನಾನು ಕಾಲುವರಿಸಲು ಒಂದು ದಾರಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಆ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವೇ ಉಜ್ವಲ ದೀಪವಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆದರೆ, ಇನ್ನೂ ಹಲವರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬೆಳಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಕಲಿಯಿರಿ, ಕೊಂಡಾಡಿ, ಹೊಸ ದಿಕ್ಕುಗಳತ್ತ ಸಾಗಿರಿ! ನಾನು ನಿಲ್ಲಲಿಲ್ಲ, ನೀವು ನಿಲ್ಲಬೇಡಿ! ನಾನು ಹೋರಾಡಿ ಗಾಳಿ ಬದಲಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ನೀವು ಗಾಳಿಯೇ ತಿರುಗಿಸಿ, ಹೊಸ ಭವಿಷ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿ! “ನಾವು ಬೆಳಕು ಹೊತ್ತವರಾಗಿ, ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರ ಬದುಕಿಗೂ ಬೆಳಕು ನೀಡೋಣ!”
